Minister Alparslan Bayraktar continued his series of visits in Aydın, engaging directly with the local community through a number of events.
Minister Participates in Community Iftar
During a community iftar organized by Aydın Metropolitan Municipality at Kent Square, Minister Bayraktar joined residents in breaking the fast and personally served meals. The event fostered a spirit of togetherness among attendees.
Emphasis on National Unity and Solidarity
Minister Bayraktar later attended an iftar event organized by the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Provincial Presidency. In his address to the participants, he underlined the importance of unity during challenging times, stating, “This is a period that reminds us how much we need unity, integrity, and brotherhood as a nation. Guided by our President’s leadership and the strong cooperation of the People’s Alliance, I am confident that we will overcome these challenges together as a nation and state.”
Energy Independence and Regional Development
Highlighting the significance of energy independence, Minister Bayraktar discussed the ongoing efforts to explore and produce energy resources in Turkey. He emphasized the strategic value of the petroleum found in Gabar and natural gas in the Black Sea. Bayraktar remarked, “The oil we discovered in Gabar is particularly important for the ‘Terror-Free Turkey’ initiative. For years, the resources in that region could not be utilized due to security concerns. Now, with improved safety, we are producing some of Turkey’s highest quality oil, reaching a daily output of 80,000 barrels.”
Opportunities for Local Communities
Minister Bayraktar noted that the development has created new employment opportunities for local youth and given them hope for the future. “This achievement in Gabar is a microcosm of what a terror-free Turkey can look like. I firmly believe that as long as Turkey remains united, there is no challenge we cannot overcome,” he concluded.
