Türkiye and Russia Sign Intergovernmental Economic Cooperation Protocol

The KEK Protocol aims to shape the roadmap for future trade and economic collaboration between Türkiye and Russia

Türkiye and Russia have signed a new protocol as part of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation (KEK), marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral economic ties.

The meeting, held in Moscow, brought together Turkish and Russian delegations under the leadership of Turkish Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Novak.

High-Level Talks in Moscow

During the discussions, both sides addressed various aspects of economic and trade cooperation. Following the meeting, Minister Bolat and Deputy Prime Minister Novak signed the KEK Protocol in a formal ceremony.

A Roadmap for Stronger Ties

Speaking after the signing, Minister Ömer Bolat emphasized that the protocol will serve as a strategic roadmap for enhancing trade and economic relations between Türkiye and Russia. He expressed optimism about the future of bilateral cooperation.

The KEK Protocol is expected to facilitate more structured and goal-oriented dialogue between the two nations, particularly in key trade, energy, and investment sectors.
